Terms of Service

Effective date: March 2026

1. Nature of Service

Uncouple is an educational and financial modeling tool. It is NOT a law firm and does NOT provide legal advice. The platform is designed to help individuals understand the financial dimensions of divorce by applying publicly available state formulas to user-provided data.

2. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Your use of Uncouple does not create an attorney-client relationship, a fiduciary relationship, or any other professional-client relationship between you and Uncouple, its founders, employees, or affiliates. Nothing on this platform should be construed as legal advice.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

Calculations are estimates based on publicly available state formulas. Actual outcomes depend on judicial discretion, case-specific factors, and jurisdiction. Uncouple makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of any projections, and projections should not be relied upon as a prediction of any specific legal outcome.

4. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you provide to the platform.
  • You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • You acknowledge that Uncouple is an educational tool and agree to consult with a licensed attorney before making legal or financial decisions.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree not to share, reproduce, or redistribute generated reports except for your own personal use or for sharing with your legal counsel.

5. Payment Terms

Uncouple offers one-time payments for specific analyses and reports. All fees are displayed before purchase. Refunds are not available after analysis delivery, as the service is fully rendered upon generation of results. If you experience a technical issue that prevents delivery, contact us for resolution.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, software, algorithms, designs, and branding on the Uncouple platform are the intellectual property of Uncouple and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Uncouple and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Uncouple in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the effective date and posting the revised Terms on this page. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law
